What bold color should I paint my room?

These are my top two color choices. I love the yellow and how bright it is. It makes me so cheerful. Blue is soothing and one of my favorite colors. My room is small and kinda crowded. I was thinking I could also paint the walls white and make 1 or 2 of them a bold color if it was a blue. I’m so stuck on this… So please help me pick! Thanks so much! (:

Since both color choices are extremely bright and "glowing" I would opt for the idea of painting only 1 or 2 walls the bright color.
The yellow is quite nice in small doses…I think a really good idea would be to paint the wall behind your bed, making that wall the accent wall and focal point of your room. Then dress your bed in some really nice bedding that compliments the wall color.

Hi,
I think you should choose yellow. But if it was me personally i would do one wall yellow and one wall blue! that really me i locve to mix match and jus throw colors together and wow there you have it!

i would go for the yellow. It would be great for a room cuz its really cheerful happy sorta bubbly & i think will qive you a burst of energy evrytime u look at ur walls.

i would do your main wall yellow and the other 3 blue.
i loved when my room was blue and green.
but blue and yellow are such great colors too.

I once painted my room a very bright color. I loved it for two weeks, then it was glaring. After one month it was obnoxious. After two months, it was impossible to live with.
I suggest you paint your walls a neutral color, and add your favorite accent colors through bedspread, pillows, curtains, and posters. That way, when you are sick and tired of the color, it is an easy change. Painting walls and ceilings are a hard chore, one that should be done with long term goals in mind.
I know, when you are young, a color can become an obsessive goal. Do not succumb to the whim of the moment. Realize that a neutral color can be accessorized with whatever is the "color of the moment", and you can change it in a moment’s notice, also!
