Is it okay to participate in Yahoo! Answers as a brand manager?

My company has a ton of experts in our field and we would like to add value to the Yahoo! Answers community as a company rather than having multiple user accounts. So we would probably use our company logo as our avatar and have our name be "[company] Brand Manager." Essentially we would want to answer relevant questions with high quality thorough answers. Is this acceptable?

We wouldn’t be advertising at all – just providing good quality answers that hopefully the community would appreciate and then maybe recognize our brand which they could pursue on their own if they were interested.

I just don’t want to go through the effort of setting things up and having my co-workers answer questions if we run the risk of having our account flagged or taken down.

Is there still anybody who thinks the revolution in Egypt is not richclass vs. working class?

"Several thousand people outside Mustafa Mahmoud Mosque in the upper-class neighborhood of Mohandiseen waved Egyptian flags and carried a large printed banner with Mubarak’s face. Many passing cars honked in apparent support."

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110202/ap_on_re_mi_ea/ml_egypt

So, there it is: "…upper-class neighborhood …carried a large printed banner with Mubarak’s face."

Wow. Too bad there’s no tough working class like that in the US, and they’re all a bunch of service mice.

And is there still anybody who thinks the revolution in Egypt is not richclass vs. working class?
@Correction: service > servile
@BlackSun – Wrong. Movement is for democracy.

Comments on an auld lang syne poem?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSFk50qdYO4

white flag of surrender
I’m sick of this place
yahoo bites the dust
emails screwed
been deleting for days
every post I see has
thumbs down galore
the idiots having their fun

a user here that carried our banner
his shirttails we rode to riotous moments
used to average forty responses
now he’s lucky to get even dozen
what’s wrong with this place?
does no one get it anymore?

sick taste in my mouth
I retch at the bile
of what yapoo has become
the days of auld lang syne
a memory at best
I’m outta here for a few
till this place has a reason
for me to beckon it’s call

Atheists, why is it so hard being an atheist? Ever feel like giving up?

If you’re not an atheist why answer, I am asking atheists an atheist question. I am not here to be a door mat.
The flip side of this question:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AmM1Cnt6V07vHvMMLoeW_K7d7BR.?qid=20070201141607AAH4DQk

Should we start crying ‘persecution’? Wouldn’t it make more sense coming from a small minority?

Yahoo Answers Not aloud to ask?

Are we no longer aloud to ask questions on Yahoo Ask section anymore? Recently I asked a question of where to find a auto loan. They flagged me, and my appeal was also declined. I still don’t see why.
They say you can’t ask a question that would start a chat. My question is, if we can’t ask open end questions, then what is the purpose of Yahoo! Answers???

Does anybody know when this old Brewers logo is from?

I was just in Orlando and bought a hat that I had never seen before, and I can’t find the logo online either. It is a hat by American Needle in the Cooperstown Collection. Inside lining says "Original Eight".

On the back of the hat, it has the gold "M" from the 70′s logos. The hat is royal blue on the sides and back, with the front panel in the gold. (Same colors as 70s & 80s).

The logo has 3 guys (look like 1800s German beer brewers) riding a barrel. The bottom of the barrel has the state of Wisconsin with some emblem in it. The guy on the left is holding a flag and the guy on the right is holding a bat. All 3 look like they have a feather in their hat or hair. (The detail is hard to make out because it is all in blue and gold with small detail).

If anybody knows anything about this logo it’d be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Yeah I know, I have looked all over and the Brewers website doesn’t show it as a logo either. I don’t know if it was their logo from around 1901 before they moved to Baltimore? Or I didn’t know if it could have been an old Beloit Brewers minor league hat? It does have the Milwaukee M on the back and the tag says Milwaukee Brewers, so somehow it is affiliated with the Brewers. This is going to bug the crap out of me. Hopefully Bud Selig goes on Yahoo Answers and can help me out!

gray dots next to all mail?

Something changed in my email, and now I have gray dots next to all mail. When I put my cursor over the dot, it says "flag message." There’s also a flag at the top of the column. I tried checking all messages and hitting "remove flag," but nothing happens. When I open email now, there is a gray banner where the "from, etc." information should be. If I try to flag the message, an orange flag appears. I’ve heard of this happening in yahoo beta, but never classic. Can someone help?

3 Important Reasons You Should Configure Outlook for Yahoo Mail Access

3 Important Reasons You Should Configure Outlook for Yahoo Mail Access

If you use both Yahoo Mail and Outlook, there are three major reasons you should configure Outlook for Yahoo Mail access. First, you will save yourself time every time you need to check your mail. Second, you will be able to apply Outlook’s sophisticate message handling features to your Yahoo mail. Third, it lets you feed your Yahoo mail contents into Outlook’s Personal Information Management (PIM) tools.

A Yahoo Outlook connection lets you check your Yahoo mail right in Outlook, instead of forcing you to open a browser window and work with your mail in two separate places. That’s one less chore for you to do, and one less chance for problems like missing something important because you didn’t feel like checking your Yahoo mail at the wrong time.
When you configure Outlook for Yahoo mail, you have access to Outlook’s mail handling tools, powerful tools like folders and flags and mailing lists. That’s because your Yahoo mail appears in the Outlook Inbox as if it was any other Outlook messages. You can take all those techniques you’ve learned for handling your messages in Outlook and apply them to your Yahoo messages too.
Configuring Outlook for Yahoo also makes it easy to use Outlook’s Calendar, Tasks, Notes and all its other Personal Information Management systems with your Yahoo Mail. Any personal information management techniques you use with your regular Outlook mail, you can use with your Yahoo mail, once you configure Outlook for Yahoo messages and those messages are coming into your Outlook Inbox.

As this article has shown, you can reap some significant benefits by configuring Outlook to work with your Yahoo account. With the quality instructions I’ve linked to below, it takes only minutes. I urge you to set up this connection immediately.

If you are an Outlook 2007 user, you will find the instructions I recommend for configuring Outlook for Yahoo at:

http://www.living-with-outlook.com/yahoo-mail.html

If you want to configure Outlook 2010 for Yahoo access, my recommended instructions are at:

http://living-with-outlook-2010.com/emailaccounts/2010/06/the-yahoo-outlook-2010-connection/
