I have laminate flooring in my kitchen, which leads to the outside where my doggy door is. Well the pups are obviously going to be out going potty, and it snows where I live. Am i just going to have to put down towels or mats or something? This will be my first winter in my new place and with my new pups. Thanks guys!
Hi Darby, thanks for the info. My house was built in 2004, and I bought it in May 2006… the people before me did a great job decorating, and that is what they chose. They look nice, but you are right, I will need to check into that… (all these things i’m learning from being a homeowner!!!)

Because I had bosses who were a** holes to me. My question is….should I just suck it up and get disrespected and walked on like a door mat by them? I mean I cant quit a job every time someone raises their tone or act stupid with me. This is stupid and I should handle it better but how can I when they are such jerks? Talking to them doesn’t help and it makes it worse. I have bad luck with the worse bosses!

My parents recently told me that my sisters and their husbands hate my husband and are jealous of him (his job, paycheck, education, and relationship w/ my parents) and talk about us both behind our backs. My husband has self-esteem problems and has tried very hard the past 4 yrs. to be friends (helping them both move, help around their houses..) I think he has tried too hard and has came off as annoying. We spend alot on gifts for them and their kids and we feel like we get short changed on our b-days and at Christmas. One said my husband was not even welcome in their home to my mother, but our presents are and he is welcome when doing something for them. I’m upset over the news and do not want to have anything to do with them anymore. We are about to have our first child and my mother is sorry for telling me in fear that we will not include my sister’s in our kid’s birth & life. What should I do? I feel betrayed and foolish for being a door mat to them.

I was the door mat of all doormats.I am afraid to trust. Now I am afraid of such things as escalators, heights, elevators, being in public, dressing wrong, feeling like a w-h-o-r-e, as that was my nick mane. I don’t care if you know who I am- I am writing to say to you please, don’t brings anyone down by saying they are stupid to be in this situation- and certainly don’t ask the question, "why do you stay. Either help her.him get help and point out the good in her or him. – If you blow your better than attitude all over a person like me, you are just destroying the heart of that person more. It isn’t your job to fix others, but don’t act frustrated and berate them, that is cruel. Pass it on.

i am a 25 yr old guy which is under constant stress due to my job and family problems. i want to fly somewhere away from home to enjoy my life without people telling me that everything is impossible. I’ve gone skydiving and I’ve been on a hot air balloon ride, but i still feel like i want to have more fun. I’ve asked my "friends" if they wanted to go to an auto show or six flags, if they want to go some where fun, but they all tell me, no! they either go to their local bars or have a get together in their garage. so, if anyone can tell me some good place where people go to have fun i would appreciate it.

I have a 5 y/o paint gelding and he has no job. He looks like a hunter jumper kind of horse, but Im not sure if I want to do that with him until he is older. He was left in a pasture for over a year with no human contact what so ever, and everything is new to him. I have been trying to despook him, but nothing seems to work with him. He is literally afraid of EVERYTHING. I had a really good drill horse a while back, and he was the only horse that didnt spook at the rodeos. I need to get him used to everything he might see at a rodeo i.e: banners, flags, loud speakers, spooky horses, etc etc. If you have any training tips I would be very happy!!! Oh! And He is absolutly terrified of fly-spray..If you have a way of getting him used to it or another alternative to spray, that would aslo make me happy! Thanks!

At Six Flags St. Louis, they operate a propane fired steam locomotive, and seeing how paid opportunities are slim in this day and age for young steam buffs, I figure it’d be the only opportunity to be the engineer on a steamer and get paid to do so…

I am a Christian. I don’t believe, however , that we are put on this planet to grovel, beg and plead with others to join our religion. There are those who have noble intentions, those who are just pushy, and those who believe that it’s our job to recruit people. I believe that it’s our job to be examples, not door mats. I believe that it’s GODS job, not ours, to use us as he sees fit, as instruments of his will, and to draw people to him. I hate that there are so many who think we are supposed to be complacent and meek. Yes, it says that the meek shall inherit the earth. But I am meek before GOD, NOT MAN. There’s people on this site getting turned off by some of the religious answers. I don’t think that’s the idea behind what we’re supposed to be doing, do you?
Denis E- I agree. I’m certainly NOT saying to avoid the subject at all. I HAVE to bring it up when I feel it’s appropriate, because that IS our job.

I have been a loyal employee for 10 years. I recently found out that I am still below midpoint on my salary scale. I have been offered another job which is not quite as good as the one I have but it has a good future earnings potential. My bosses all tell me how much of an asset I am to the company and that I am doing a fantastic job. I also recently did receive a 10% increase in salary. But if I were to leave and come back they would pay me at least 20% more than I make now based on my experience and name in the community. I feel like they are running over me. Should I take a chance and leave? I don’t appreciate being treated like a door mat. Please help.

First let me say sorry to the fact the some of my pnctuation keys dont work on my keyboard. and now for my question

i was watching a movie and these people got arested for helping other people illegally. and it inspired me to try and help people.
i hate the fact that just because something is illegal makes it wrong when in fact the government is the ones who are wrong.

i wont lie to you. i dont look like the kind of person who would give a rats ass but part of living in america is people judge you on how you look. im 21 years old, currently attending college at RCC. i started college and i was pretty proud of myself, but then i was denied a grant, my car broke down, bought a new car with the money i was going to pay some fines off which i will eplaine to you in a second. the new car i bought broke down i attended school for 2 weeks, i had to leave my job, not completely i still work one day out of the week. i haven been to school in 2 weeks now because of my situation and i dont want this to happen to other people. its hard in life to actually become something, even if you try to make something of you life there will always be something blocking you path as if its legal actions of the law holding you back or if its money issues and you have no where else to turn to.
as for the fine and when i went to jail. i recently moved to a new town and met some people and i was hanging out with them one night, uopn walking to the store he says to me "i want to show you something." he took me to the bar with the door open. at the time i didnt think how he knew the door was open or how he cam accross this. he takes me to this bar and opens the door and tries to get me to go inside. stupid me i go in and take a look around, we leave and go to the store then head back to his place. three days later the cops flag me down, he didnt want to make a scene so he didnt use his lights or anything he just pointed and said to pull in so i did. he asked me some questions and everything about it and he leaves. about a week later im at the part store napa getting some parts for my truck, to cops walk over and start padding me down and take me to jail. about a week after that i go in to see a public defender and he tells me that the guy i was with robbed the bar 3 times prior to the knight he showed me and broke the lock with a butchers knife and because i went in and took a look around i became a part of this criminal action.

another story….. one knight i was invited to drink with some friends i was 20. so were at the river and we are drinking and it starts getting out of hand so i offerend to drive every one home. yes i was drinking but i wasnt totally waisted. i went to get my vehicle and the walked half way down the river by the time i got there and there was another guy trying to help me get them home because he didnt want any one to get in trouble either. so i get there park my truck and try to gather evry body up then the cops roll in. blah blah blah at the and the end of the night i was the only one who got arrested and a ticket for it. not arested like jail but they put me in cuffs and drove around for hours….wouldnt let me go to the bathroom. but i still think thats kind of injustice. i didnt get in trouble for having my truck there or anything they gave me a 250 dollar ticket just because i was a minor drinking and none of the others got anything. most of them are girls and the cop that gave me the ticket went to jail for sexual harrasment so its probably because i was a guy. these are the situations i am talking about. in-justice of the law and government orgonizations.

i probably want to start out by helping poor people with bills school loans help buy food and things like that. and further more in the future get involved lawfully to help people that have been fucked over by the government.

how can i help people i can i make a better lving invoirment in the united states?
