Why are Mexicans protesting AZ law with Mexican flags demanding legalization for undocumented Mexican workers?

PHOENIX — Thousands of people from around the country marched to the Arizona state Capitol on Saturday to protest the state’s tough new crackdown on illegal immigration.

Marchers carrying signs, banners and flags from the United States and Mexico filled a five-mile stretch of central Phoenix. Dozens of police officers lined the route, and helicopters hovered overhead.

Police declined to estimate the size of the crowd, but it appeared at least 10,000 to 20,000 protesters braved temperatures that were forecast to reach 95 degrees by mid-afternoon. Organizers had said they expected the demonstration to bring as many as 50,000 people.

Opponents of the law suspended their boycott against Arizona and bused in protesters from around the country. Some used umbrellas or cardboard signs to protect their faces from the sun. Volunteers handed out water bottles from the beds of pickup trucks, and organizers set up three water stations along the route.

About 20 people were treated for heat or fatigue-related symptoms, and seven of them were taken to a hospital, said Phoenix police spokesman Sgt. Tommy Thompson. There were no arrests or other incidents, he said.

The law’s opponents also gathered elsewhere. About 300 people rallied at the Texas Capitol in Austin, and another 300 people protested at the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City demanding legalization for undocumented Mexican workers in the United States.

"Many of us have relatives or friends in the U.S. and we must now stand up and speak out on their behalf," said Elvira Arellano, who gained international attention in 2007 when she was deported without her U.S. citizen son.

In San Francisco, groups planned to protest at the Arizona Diamondbacks’ game against the Giants Saturday night.

Can anyone identify my grandfathers ring?

The ring is engraved with initials and "1913" The crest kind of looks like the 1st Cavalry Division army patch but instead of a horse head there is three reverse decrescents (like a crescent moon making a backwards C). The Bend goes from the top left to the bottom right and the dexter field/base has what looks like either a feather or a comet….maybe even a star with some kind of wing. one side is faded but the other is still kind of visible, an eagle wings spread facing the left holding a vertical flag looking symbol with four dots and 6 or 7 vertical stripes. Looks like the crest is on an onyx setting. I am trying to figure out if it is a military ring or what. If It is what unit it was for etc. I have looked on the internet and cant find anything so please dont suggest google. If any WWII vets know please share your knowledge. Thank you. Need help with youtube?

After spending a couple of hours trying to get some answers to questions, it appears to me that youtube is not the least bit interested in helping users. First, why do I have to make a Google account to use Youtube forums? Second, where can one complain about violations in people’s videos? The list of choices they give you under the flag menu does not include things like fraudulent use of official government logos. There appears to be virtually NO customer service.

I have a problem converting many downloaded videos to other file formats. They will only play on Real player. The message says a video stream is missing. Windows movie maker says I need some "codec." I don’t know where to get this.

Also, some of my videos aren’t uploading. I mostly use Pinnacle and after converting to the right kind of video format, they still won’t upload.

Any help would be appreciated.
Omega, I wasn’t aware that a video had to be lethal in order to be illegal. Wow, that’s really liberal! When people use official government logos, faked to look like they are attached to some film which is a hoax and a deliberate attempt to misinform, I would think that would be grounds for removing the video. But then, maybe I’m just a little too old-fashioned that way. Ya think?
Lester, thanks, I’ll give it a try.
Djayray500, that explains it! <chuckle>
Omega, thanks for the Firefox info. I’ll look for it. It seemed that Youtube would have no problem with people downloading videos since a little box that says "download this video" appears at the top of every video. I know that’s not youtube’s box but they must not have much of an objection to it.

Help! Why won't my images load?

Hey. I have IE6, and almost no images will load. For instance, the "Yahoo Answers" banner does not load, the Google logo doesn’t load, the ask, answer, best of answers banners will not load, the flags for Answers International will not load, and so on. About the only graphics which load are some ads, videos, and flash apps.

What is my problem? Why aren’t they working? If it helps, I’ve had some recent problems with viruses that were solved by Malware Bytes, but I don’t think this is a virus…

Does it make you angry that Google has not acknowledged Memorial Day on their homepage?

Every holiday Google changes their homepage to contain something that reflects that holiday. Well, today Google has nothing except their name. They have no flag, they have nothing!
On the Yahoo! homepage, they have changed the top to display a purple heart and set of dog tags before their logo. I feel that this is their way of honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. I appreciate them taking the time to remember the fallen.
However, I am angry that Google has not taken the initiative to show the same respect to our soldiers, both past and present.

Is anyone else angry over this?

I understand that there are other things in the world to be angry over, but I feel that they could at least acknowledge that today is Memorial Day.

Thank you to all of our service men and women for all that you have done and all that you have sacrificed.

chinacccshop.com? I need help wit this computer/laptop/electronics question (plz fully read below B4 answerin)?

What is the deal with this "chinacccshop.com"? Has anyone ordered or know of anyone who has actually ordered and received something from this website? It sound unrealistic to me, they’ve got some crazy deals for PS3 bundles, and quite honestly I’m not getting a good vibe about it. When you go to the website, and you put your mouse over the logo (chinacccshop.com) on the upper left-hand corner, it says: "Walmart – Save Money. Live Better", which is sign of a poorly made webpage, and the whole "Free Shipping with Site to Store", logo/link is from Walmart too. But the funny thing is they have no "store" to ship to. Another thing is that when you google: "is chinacccshop.com legit" (without the quotation marks of course), only 133 results come up, (another flag) and at the bottom of the page it says: "Tip: These results include words similar to the words in your search. Show results that include the exact words in your search." Then, when click on the "Show results that… exact words…" link, Google adds a plus sign (+) in front of the word legit and says that the search did not match.

WHAT IS UP WITH THAT??!!! Google never EVER returns so so few resutls. Something is very fishy here, anyone know what’s the deal with this? Smells like a scam. Does anyone know how to verify this? Or if one can order using a credit card and then if it DOES turn out to be a scam, dispute it with one’s credit card company?
I’m almost tempted to do it, but I’m afraid of getting my credit card maxed out or worse, loose my identity and ruin my good credit. Any suggestions…?
Please don’t answer if you do not have a clue, (I know this is a point thing, but this is important for me, I really want to know what the deal is…)

Thank you.

What was this Extremely Rare Hello Kitty game? PC? MAC? HELP!?

Back in the early to mid 90′s there was an old Hello Kitty game. I’m trying to find it because you could hilarious things. Here’s what I remember about it:

1. You could invite friends over for dinner.
2. You could go out in the field or garden to get food for the dinner.
3. You could put things like napkins and forks and crazy things in the soup.
4. The company that made the game had a logo of a tent, or the Eiffel tower or something with a flag on the top, and it danced.
5. There was a demo with the game of Felix the Cat.
6. Was on Mac, or Windows 95/98 most likely.
7. Was a pick your own adventure game, click objects, and answers, etc sort of thing.

SOMEONE Must know this game, I’ve searched all over wikipedia, google, gamefaqs, the Hello Kitty sites. I’m going crazy. I really want to put forks in people’s soup again!

- Thanks
