Hi all. So I’ve posed a little challenge to myself: I’m trying to identify a children’s program that I used to watch when I was a kid (I’m 31 now). Here’s what little I remember:

-I think it was on PBS
-It always ended with with some character watching TV, then the TV station (within the show) would sign off with The Star Spangled Banner and footage of a flag waving, then go to static
-The show once featured a vignette where a kid was in his room at night with the lights turned off, watching as headlights from cars passing outside made shadows across the walls, and all of a sudden a glowing red skeleton comes at him out out of a corner

Is this ringing any bells at all? I really appreciate any help you can give me.

There were people attaching the American flag to any part of their cars to prove to the world that Americans love our country and that we stand together as one nation to support one another.

I recalled tonight as I was thinking about to that time. That the fire trucks all had huge American flags waving in the wind as they drove down the streets, people’s pride in our country. It
choked me up to see those huge flags waving like a banner.

That day of 911 we all came together as a country, there was no one looking at one another as if they did not belong. Nope we were one Nation under God indivisible with Truth and Justice for all.

As I sit here typing this the tears are running down my cheeks
as I love my country so much, and I hate seeing it war torn in the news media with nit picky things that mean nothing and our boys and women over there across the waters fighting for the freedoms of others. It is hard to imagine that some do not even support our troops.

I just wanted to remind everyone that we are one nation under God.
and it is how it should be. No white/no black/no color just good people in one belief that we together we stand or together we fall.

Just curious to know.

Went up a main road yesterday and passed a police-like van. It had something like "safer partnership" logo on the side and blue and yellow stripes. The 2 back windows were "lifted up" with what looked to be cameras poking out. I guess it was an ANPR van looking for motorists without tax/insurance etc.?

Thing is, it was a funny place to do surveillance. I.e. busy main road and on a bend with lots of side streets. I wondered whether any dodgy cars that it "flagged up" could just head up a side street and disappear in which case they wouldn’t get caught – or do they send a "summons" in the post as I know they do this for speeding.
