No, i mean its been about 3 weeks and nothing works, previous to this incident i cleared out my fan with some compressed air
Whoops i ran a disk scan and that seemed to do nothing so i poked around in the settings for a sec and found that i had put my hardware acceleration on none in a previous attempt to fix the problem, i guess between the disk scan and the hardware acceleration i fixed it =D

Second Life Crashing, not up to computer specs?

Yeah, well I used to play Second Life quite a bit a loooooong time ago on another computer, and I recently bought a new laptop.

Every time I try to play the game, shortly after the Second Life window appears, my computer completely crahes (i.e. Blue Screen Of Death).

So I went on that system requirments lab thing on the internet, and it says my computer completes all minimum requirements and passes most recommended ones.

I think it could be a problem with my graphics card, i’m not sure.

The system is using the generic video driver. Please install video driver provided by the hardware manufactur?

I was trying to play a game bu then it gave a generic error.
this is what it said at the bottom of the dxdiag display tab page: The system is using the generic video driver. Please install video driver provided by the hardware manufacturer.

Also, i understand that i need to download the software that was supposed to come with my video card, but i do not know wat type of video card i have, how do i check?
