All of these Scottish flags have a Nordic cross. Could someone please explain the relevance of Scotland, and possibly Ireland to the Nordic countries; Is Scotland Nordic?

Are Saabs reliable? Is this car a good deal?

My dad drives a raelly crappy car from the late 80s and I’m trying to convince him to get a new one. He doesn’t wanna spend any money, so I figure that gives me a budget of <5000, and he/I want it to be a manual. I found this Saab 9-5 linear for 00…it has 100k miles. How reliable are these cars? Are they expensive to repair? Is this a good deal?

I kinda want my dad to drive a semi-luxurious car because he’s getting old and I think all old people deserve to ride in nice cars…

Talk a car dealer down $3000?

Alright, well I’m looking at this 2001 Pontiac Firebird. It looks pretty sweet, ram air hood and some kind of (custom?) front bumper, and I’d really like to buy it. However, it’s priced WAY too high, and has nothing much special that makes it different from other v6 Firebirds besides the bumper. It has 93,000 miles, 5 previous owners and has been in a fender bender. It’s priced at about ,000. I’ve seen a Firebird with 2/3 the miles, no accidents and 2 owners (but without the neat front bumper or hood) priced at 00. Also a white convertible with 2/3 the miles for k. Also the k car is manual and the 7.9 and 9 are autos. On the k, one of the lights on the front doesn’t work, but that’s probably easily and cheaply fixable. The NADA price for the Firebird clean retail is 00.

So pretty much what I’m asking, is do car dealers intentionally price cars way too high? And is there any way to talk him down 00-00 on the car? There’s no way that thing is worth ,000…

Is this a Sentra Se-r Spec v?

i found this on autotrader but the body looks nothing like a spec v but it still has a 2.5L engine and has the red interior and is stick shift but i cant tell if it is 5 or 6 speed. The logo on the trunk also looks misplaced. how can i find out the best year model for the beetle? And is a 2001 beetle with 41,000miles on it a good buy? i just saw it online, dont know much more. Info on the Eclipse not stated on site: Timing belt has been changed. There is a dent in the front from running into a hitch (just body damage, nothing big) and a cracked dashboard (I will get a dash cover).

Just want to know which one you think would be the best choice. I’m going to look at both vehicles tomorrow. Anything in particular I should know about these model cars? Anything I should look for to see potential problems?
