“i pledge allegiance to the flag” What do this mean. ..I have seen?
I have seen in these united states, immigrant’s flying the flag of a certain country, after buying the land, as if they just conquered. These are some mean people who are only, when it comes down to it, allegiant to each other.
I’m pretty sure someone is going to claim, I’m sayin something wrong. Well that is what happens when right is wrong and wrong is right. I see many complaining about immigrant rights. I think their weapons are to use a weak system against its self. Immigrant until sworn in, have no rights.
These united states are being simply conquered by hostile neighbors whose real allegiance is to each other, not caring whose in their way as they go.
Look at the difference in our country over the last thirty year. Its a locust effect.
Alberto I agree with you and all legal migrants. But its a whole other story when they are illegal and some the children of illegal. and have a attitude of "This was are land first".

Find the Red Skelton Pledge of Allegiance on the web. It will make all things clear.

Its a loyalty oath.
That’s fine if you are a citizen, although we have non-citizens in our military. You don’t take the pledge though if you are not a citizen, just as, if you owned an apartment in Paris you would not take a French loyalty oath.
Many citizens fly a flag of their country of origin, I have seen many Irish flags, British and Scots flags flying on some holidays, particularly St.Patricks day.
But I get the feeling you don’t mean those, which is why this is more a matter of pre judging whats going on than a real concern about flag flying or allegiance pledging.

I’m an immigrant, and I can assure you the last thing on my mind was to establish a subculture or sabotage the US. When you immigrate, you are leaving behind your entire past: home, friends, family and job. You do this because you know it’s what is best for you and those around you, and let me tell you it’s no easy thing. No sane person would do that to himself and his social circle without good reason.
You may notice many immigrants tend not to be very patriotic, if at all. I believe the absence of patriotism is a very good trait, since totalitarian regimes such as fascist Germany, the USSR or North Korea have traditionally relied on a strong patriotic basis to earn blind and unquestioning support for the government. To any extent, a flag does not have the same significance to me as it would to a patriot. I do not consider myself as belonging to any nationality, regardless what my passport says, and as such I consider the flag to be a merely representative symbol expressing a geopolitical entity, but nothing of ideological significance. If you see an immigrant hoist a flag, chances are this is for purely representative purposes and not to express allegiance to a state.

I agree with Alberto. I have friends and family that live in other countries and I can assure you that Americans – by far- are hyper patriotic compared to people of other counties.
So what if someone wants to fly the flag of another country? Especially, as you indicted, after they bought the land it flies on? I believe that it is an American value that people should be free to do what they want with their private property – even when we disagree with it. My faith in my coutry and patriotism are not so weak that they are threatened by that.
We fly the German flag at my house to recognize the re-unification of Germany on October 3rd each year – my girlfriend is a German immigrant with a green card – so you are saying she has no rights and is conquering America? She has every right citizens do, except the right to vote. I think you need to differentiate between all immigrants and something else you are not coming out and saying.

People have come to this land from the very beginning in order to create a better life for themselves. This country was founded on that principle, but in the past, immigrants didn’t contemplate returning or pledging allegiance to to their native country. They proudly flew the American Flag and were proud of their heritage. It is possible to be proud of your heritage and pledging allegiance to your new home country. I am proud of my German & Irish heritage, but pledge allegiance to the United States of America, not Germany or Ireland. Yes I have flown the Irish flag, but never above or in lieu of the American Flag. These days there are really two types of immegrants. Immegrants who really do leave their old lives behind to make a better life for themselves, their families and their new country and immegrants who just USE the benefits this country provides to benefit themselves. The latter hold no allegences to the country they are using and should be sent home. The former hold every allegiance to their new home country. These immegrants need to be supported and nurtured.

It’s sad that people break the law to come here, but I can understand why they do, having visited where they live, Like Mexico. The poor will always be poor with little if no chance to better themselves in their own country. Does that give them a right to come here illegally?? HECK NO. They should do it like the rest who have come here legally. And I can’t understands those who come here for a better life, still fly thier country’s flag? I know they are a proud people (mexicans) and have a right to be, but their country sucks, it cares little if at all for it’s poor. And those who come here just to steal from us, to kill our own, need to get the bus ride back home. And you can call me a racist all you want, but the funny thing is, I married a Mexican, I have a child who is Half Mexican. But who will be taught what it is to be A Full American. So any body calling me a racist is just a dumb freak who needs to step back
