How long will it take to get from Long Beach to the six flags magic mountain theme park?
I am on holiday in L.A in october staying in Long Beach and I wanted to go to the six flags magic mountain theme park and i was just wondering how far it was from where i’m staying and how would I get there without car hire??
Is it also a place I would enjoy visiting by myself as I am now travelling to L.a alone?

No car? This is one time you’ll really want one. It’s 60 miles, and will take 1-3 hours, depending on route and traffic. If you have a car, you just take the 710 freeway north to the 5 north, and exit Magic Mountain Parkway.
If you take public transit, it’s a lot longer. You’ll need to take the Blue Line train north to the 7th Street/Metro Station (end of the line). Then transfer to the Red Line subway, and take that north to the North Hollywood terminus. Then take Santa Clarita Transit bus 757 north to McBean Transit Center. Finally, take SCT bus 3 or 7 to Six Flags Magic Mountain.

from Long beach take the blue line (pay $1.25) take to the last stop
then take the Red line to union staton(pay anothr $1.25)
then take metrolink to newhall station then any Santa Clarita bus
going to transit center then transfer again to SCT 3 or 7 to the park
if you buy a round trip metrolink ticket
your metrolink ticket will be vaild for all the bus connections
