How do you wash carpeted door mats?
I have a traditional door mat we use during winter. It has a lot of dirt and salt accumilated. I was wondering if anyone has ever successfully washed them.

i would wash it in my tub. hand dry thats the best way i know how to wash them.

Wait for spring. Soak with garden hose. Douse with detergent. Wash and rinse with garden hose. Hang to dry. If you have an unfinished basement you could try washing it down there, but I wash all my door mats outside each spring and fall when its easy.

i use a rug shampooer
In the winter, I use a carpet steam cleaner. When the weather is warm I use my pressure washer.
