do you have a Jumparoo for your baby? Do you think they are worth the money?
I have been looking at jumparoos. My baby is 15 weeks on Sunday and in a few weeks her neck will be strong anough to go in one.
But they are at least 60€ here and I was wondering if they are worth the money. Was your baby in it for long? Was it safe? I have scary visions of my baby bouncy into the door.
She loves her bouncy chair, play mat and I will get her a walker. What are your opinions on the Jumparoo? Do you think babies need one?
Thanks.

I would never put my baby in one again, the Velcro come undone at the back and she fell out of the harness and banged her head on the door frame, I followed all safety instructions properly. She did love it though until she fell out of it!

I have one for my daughter, I use it maybe 2-3 times a week for 10-15 minutes, she just sort of stands in it. A friend of mine put her ‘non walking’ 13 month old in it and she was close to bumping in to the side of the door frame so we took her out. I haven’t got as much use as I hoped to be honest.

We got ours at a yard sale. Our son loved it. He’d bounce in that thing all day if we let him. He’d fall asleep in it. I’d recommend getting one. You’ll get your money’s worth. Even if we didn’t get ours cheap we’d still pay and buy one in the store. Only bad thing is it’s kinda big and takes up a good bit of floor space. Our son liked the music and toys on it too and it was easy to take the fabric off and wash it. Ours didn’t have velcro like the first person had problems with.

My ped. told me walkers are a bad idea. I have one of the thing syou hang from your door is that what you mean?
If so at 4months my daughter really had no interest.
I got her something that looks like a walker but the bottom is not open where she can move it. It has a thing that they can bounce their feet on she likes that much better
But honestly I would go to a garage sale.. maybe check out recalls first just to be safe. Thats where my mom gets a lot of stuff for my daughter

a Jumperoo as in those Fisher Price Jumperoos? i have had an older make of one from about 5 years maybe. it was second hand from my uncles grandson. I must say, it’s not really worth it.. it takes up too much damn space and when my son got too heavy (only 22 pounds). his was moving slowly forward with every jump. like you can only notice it move if you reaaally pay attention. the Jumperoo was nothing special, he loved to jump for about 15 minutes then he was over it. definately not worth it if you need more time than that to unwind and relax.. the newer ones have a spinny chair like an exersaucer and have more toys to play with, my son is never interested in toys for babies though.. always wanting cell phones, sunglasses and other odd things to play with..
the DOOR CLAMP jumpers i DO NOT trust.. eee. just imagine if your baby jumped hard and high enough, the clamp could loosen or something then come undone.. :S !!! maybe babies could use the exercise, strengthen their lil leg muscles. it’s more of a luxury i think. not an absolute must! If you can find one.. that hooks into the ceiling (make sure the hook is screwed in TIGHT) there are two that i know of Jolly Jumper and Merry Muscles. we have a Jolly Jumper now, same thing. 15 minutes then he’s whining to get out..
good luck!
