Did you know that it is ILLEGAL to fly a foreign flag on it's own in the United States?
If you read the Flag Code, this is expressly stated.
Should we report those who fly other banners on their own, like the Mexican flag, etc?

Actually, there are no federal penalties for violation of the US Flag Code. It’s a code that’s in place to establish general guidelines for the proper display and respect of the flag, but federal law enforcement can’t do anything to punish anyone for violating the US Flag Code. Now, each state does have its own unique Flag Code and most of them mirror the US Flag Code closely. If a state has penalties attached to violations they could be enforced, but that’s not the same as federal enforcement.

No person shall display the flag of the United Nations or any other national or international flag equal, above, or in a position of superior prominence or honor to, or in place of, the flag of the United States at any place within the United States or any Territory or possession thereof:

Except in CALIFORNIA… where displaying the AMERICAN flag on a "mexican holiday" is – apparently NOT allowed.

The Flag Code is NOT law…the First Amendment is more important than that.

Yes.
And the American Flag MUST be flown in a position higher than the rest.
If you see otherwise, it is your duty as an American Citizen to correct it.
The only exception is at foreign embassies and at the UN headquarters.

I fly the British flag in my yard every day except one. I’m not a big flag supporter at all, but not a supporter of the USA. I feel the need to support SOME country (the one I am moving to in just a few years). I don’t have to show support with a country I don’t love (and haven’t ever loved, it didn’t just happen over night). The government cannot tell me who I can or cannot support.
Edit: To Duke: That is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. America is no better than any other country out there. We’re all just a bunch of pig-headed, ego inflated idiots.
You’re also support to burn a flag when it touches the ground, so I have no problem doing that to the American one! If I owned one…

Actually here is the flag code and no it is not.

The only section in the flag code relating to foreign flags says they can’t be flown above or to the right of the US flag if on the same level, except in certain situations relating to the UN and it’s flag.
I wonder why you would say that flying a foreign flag on it’s own is illegal when it is not true?
"No other flag or pennant should be placed above or, if on the same level, to the right of the flag of the United States of America, except during church services conducted by naval chaplains at sea, when the church pennant may be flown above the flag during church services for the personnel of the Navy. No person shall display the flag of the United Nations or any other national or international flag equal, above, or in a position of superior prominence or honor to, or in place of, the flag of the United States at any place within the United States or any Territory or possession thereof: Provided, That nothing in this section shall make unlawful the continuance of the practice heretofore followed of displaying the flag of the United Nations in a position of superior prominence or honor, and other national flags in positions of equal prominence or honor, with that of the flag of the United States at the headquarters of the United Nations."

ROFLMAO..let me guess. You actually believe if you tear the tag off a mattress the police will come and arrest you? Oh my God..this is special. I needed a good laugh..thanks.
It isn’t against any law. Maybe try and educate yourself before you ask another retarded question and embarrass yourself again.

Come on man…you know most people haven’t even heard of flag flying standards…a copy of them hangs on my fridge.I see code violations daily..most are torn or faded flags that violate and they hang in front of businesses. You can display your flag of choice on a pole "IF" it hangs below the red white and blue one..so state the rules.
