Can someone give me a good interpretation of my dream about being attacked by a snake?
I had the most scary dream that I have ever encountered last night. I dreamt that I was on my front porch and had just finished talking with an unknown person very briefly (couldn’t tell you what he looked like), and then I returned to the front porch of my house. However, as I approached the small concrete front porch, I saw a six foot snake that was about 1 1/2 to 2 inches in diameter. I was amazed, not fazed, and continued walking toward the front door. However, more snakes began to appear.
Then I saw two very frightening snakes: one snake was green and grey and was coiled near my cat food dish on the front porch, while the other perfectly matched the color of my door mat and stared at me. These two snakes were very very fast, and I knew that I couldn’t have outrun them, so I lied down to play dead. The one by the door mat slithered on my back and then struck my head. I could feel the snake on my back. My body then violently shook with convulsions from the toxins of the snake.

First dreams can be tough because sometimes they just are dreams.
Let’s pretend this one isn’t. Usually how you feel in the dream is real important. Also, certain things mean different things to others. What do snakes represent to you? Here you say though they are big snakes you’re not afraid, but then you see a bigger and faster snakes. So maybe same thing but gotten bigger, more complicated and now it can or should be cause for concern. ( I dreamt a ghost gave me a flak jacket, flak jackets represent protection to me, catch my meaning? So I can relate it as someone trying to protect me or offer protection. It may mean something different to someone else)
So the snakes represent, danger? so fast you can’t outrun them so you take the action you believe best, you play dead. They strike anyway and you lose–so inaction won’t work? You have to fight back? Run like hell?
Also it’s your house, to most a house would represtent a safe place, you’re kept from it. Maybe you have to face this, or it’s something that will happen close to home? One snake looked like your door mat, so something is hidden from you but you spotted it.
You didn’t say much about the unknown person, did they say something important or were they just a diversion?
Dreams seem to work best as the hindsight thing. Yeah now I know what that meant, after the brick fell on your head.

Do you know any negative people in your life trying to do you wrong? Or maybe there is a situation that you’re in that is not good for you right now. Maybe your avoiding it "lying down and playing dead…", but the evidence of how bad it is is right there, staring you in the face. Maybe you need to address this before it gets worse. That is, if any of this exists! lol!

I would say its your mind telling you that your too open and trusting of people. The figure that you were talking to resembles communication with people and then going to the porch seeing the snakes resembles an unfriendly encounter that you weren’t afraid of and walked right into.

Did you go to see that movie about snakes on an airplane or something? Snakes are also phallic symbols and you could be homophobic and you sound like the snake on your back is toying with the homoerotic fantasy of gay sex maybe. Convulsions could symbolize an orgasm and the poison could represent a fear of AIDS. The cat could represent your perceived innocence that has a potential for being violated. The snake color matching a rug is a gay/designer stereotype you hold. The details of the diameter of the snake shows a concept of diameter that is very average to the diameter of a penis. Maybe you have fears of another sexuality you are trying to supress or come to grips with. All will collapse if I choose this. Fear of coming out?
